'used to be a lesbian'?

I've become very good friends with a girl from college. She's so beautiful, tall, slim, Eastern European, confident and very intelligent. I have to admit I have a bit of a crush on her.

We have talked extensively about relationships – what girlies don't. And she told me that she 'used to be a lesbian'... now what the hell is that supposed to mean?

She insists that she's not bisexual; she's in a relationship with a guy at the moment that is not destined to last much longer. She told me that her first love was a woman – and she's the only person she's actually been in love with.

I don't really understand. I do understand, however, there is some type of 'spark' between us - or maybe not - I don't know. It could be wishful thinking on my part...

'A' is happy for me to explore by bi side; that is not an issue. Don't want to make a move (listen to me! I wouldn't even know how to make a move) and ruin a potentially good friendship – and be hugely embarrassed.

Just wondering......
