7 days isn't a hard limit; nevertheless it's statistically impossible for that to be true, assuming photos are posted at a reasonably constant rate. Given also that Admin checks the queue at a regular interval, there will be no "normal" waiting time at all; the distribution of different people's waiting times will be entirely flat. If Admin checks the queue at an irregular interval, then it will tend to shorten the average waiting time. Or, to be pedantic, if Admin checks the list every day, but only looks at the photos which have been waiting longest rather than clearing all the photos waiting for approval. I don't think that is what happens, but hypothetically it could. | ||

...and just to put that in perspective - there are on average 40-50 pages of pictures to approve every day (that's approximately 400-500 waiting at any one time.) It wouldn't be so bad if everyone thought about what they were uploading (as the majority of people do - thank you) but we are still wading through a fair amount of unpleasant or illegal material that doesn't exactly make picture approval the highlight of the day for anyone involved.
That said, i don't think we've gone past 4 days waiting for quite some time, so not bad going really to say that we have, actually, got a life away from IC lili x
