Sometimes you click on a thread on IC, you read the first post, you look who the poster is...
... and something in your head goes "wha....?"
and you think: "where the hell am I? Bizarro World???"

It strange that if you only know someone on-line and they post something that you think is out of the on-line character you've become accustom to just how surprising that becomes. It's also true when a change of profile name and how that changes people's expectation. I think that it's to do with the comfort zone we are happy with and don't like change too much.
