Small things (4)

In the large scale of things, when it feels like the proverbial is hitting the fan, it is sometimes easy to lose sight in the small things that can only be described as wonderful.

Being able to wake up and lie in bed reading a book in the morning with no rush anywhere

A promise of a coffee with someone very important

Having a colleague who I haven't seen in a few days come up and say 'we've missed you' when you're feeling utterly shit

Realizing that some friendships, even though they felt lost, may still have some life in them

Seeing the sunset colour the sky in the perfect pastel lilac and pink

Having an amazing latte with the perfect almond croissant

Running and reconnecting with my physical self

A long hot shower after a good workout in the gym

Realizing you have plans for the future, and that they're perfectly realistic

Realizing you have completely mad plans for the future, too :-p

Knowing that in six months time, all the current fuss will feel insignificant

And the current - coffee, Corrie, conversation - and a Jaffa cake :-D

Yep - life is not always easy, but then again, nothing that's worth it is ever is!

And if it was easy, how would you ever appreciate all that is good in it?

What can I say - it's been a day that's felt like this :-D!

Freaky. I was watching that very video today too.

It's pretty much how I want to live my life, being creepy and dancing round hotels :-D

Well, great minds think alike :-)! Another thing to add to the list of things to do in 2008, alongside with all the other..err..stuff :-p!!

"Give up your body to such sweet uncleanness" (William Shakespeare, Measure for Measure 2.4.54)
"A woman went into a bar and asked for a double entendre, so the barman gave her one."

Like taking more time off because you work too hard!

P.S does the drink you owe me from last year roll over into 2008 or what reggie?

Yes - it's a rollover :-D! And what, I work too hard? The problem is I don't spend enough time working :-p. If only I could have an extra day with five extra hours and the capability to never sleep...
