Great idea. Something I once thought of doing. The woodland I had my eye on would have needed fencing in which would have added to the cost considerably, and was also a bit too near to a main road to be totally secluded. Can be a lot of work if you want to make your own mark, but probably very rewarding. Enjoy. Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.

I've looked at the idea of buying some local woodland, but I'm far enough south that everything available seems grossly overpriced.
Hopefully prices will realign back to the norm in next few years.
Are you aware just how much effort keeping 19 acres of woodland in check is going to take? God invented Guinness so I wouldn't rule the world
