Life the universe (Armageddon version) and my dad (1)

Its strange how some films trigger feelings. its nearly a year since my father passed away (4 days to go), and nearly everything I see reminds me of him.
Death is cruel. It takes everything and gives nothing back apart from memories. I am begining to understand why people turn to religion as it appears to offer hope that the past might turn around, and you are given another chance to say things that you should have said (and done) when they were alive. Will we ever meet again. I hope so.
Goodbye Dad. I miss you.
Love

Death is cruel indeed, but it can give release, which is sometimes a blessing in disguise.
Although they have been dead for some years now, I still miss my parents. I don't think about them all the time, but I still think of them often.
Your dad will be with you for the rest of your life, because he has shaped your life. Your genes are 50% his, he made a significant contribution to the environment and experiences that shaped you into the person that you are today. And of course, you have the memories. All of these things help to keep your father alive in your body, heart and mind.
Gary.
