It's been quite a while, but a blog about music, and music alone.
Our title today is the name of the forthcoming album by the consistantly wonderful Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. And it's not just a clever title apparently; the album deals with something of a retelling of the myth of Lazarus, possibly in a way similar to one CD of the last, double disc, album doing the same with the tale of Orpheus.
That alone is exciting enough, especially with the release being a mere 29 days away.
But as part of the general pre-release hype building that's an obligatory part of music nowadays, there's a few things more... Firstly, the video for the title track of the album, which is also the first single that'll appear.
Of course, there's more besides... By way of advertising, there are a series of slightly silly videos appearing on Youtube. Little, if anything, to do with the music, but it's nice to see them all enjoying themselves anyway!
The potentially big news though? Tour dates announced! Given that I rate them as the second best band I've seen live before, it probably goes without saying I'm very keen to see them again at some point. This idea will need to be investigated further ![]()
So despite the fact I realise that very few people will click the links above, and fewer still will actually care, it's all good news in my book! ![]()

Looking at Gigsandtours.com, they seem to have some left. Both for the night in Birmimgham, and for a second night at the Hammersmith Apollo. The latter is a date not mentioned on the official site, so I'm taking a wild guess that it's an 'added due to demand' thing. When a man loves a woman it should be understood, | ||
