Last nights News at Ten featured an item about the Greenpeace vessel which is tracking the Japanese whaling ship. The BBC reporter on board is called.... "Jonah Fisher".
He probably didnt want to go, hates the sea, and gets seasick at a ripple on a boating lake.
But God and synchronicity gave us a joke...

He did a report last week that I watched. At first I thought it just had to be some kind of wind-up. Then I felt a bit sorry for him. Poor bugger.
There are three sorts of people in this world: those who can count, and those who can't.

Its not so bad, it only has comedy value when youre standing on the rain lashed deck of a tiny Greenpeace boat bobbing on the briny in the shadow of a hulking great whaling ship. And of course if he has any friends with a horrid sense of humour..

Perhaps its a pseudonym so the international whaling cartel don't send him to sleep with the fishes. "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

With a name like that, the poor sod is doomed to all eternity to have to cover anything to do with whales, preferably on the deck of a small boat in a force 10 gale.
I blame the parents
