I'm considering getting my outer labia pierced. I like the idea of having 4 rings down each side so they can be laced up or padlocked. Has anyone else got this done and would you recomend it? I've heard that healing time is 2-3 months, does this mean that sex is a no no for that long?!

I couldn't have sex for a week to ten days and it can be a bit tender for a while after that. I would suggest having a pair done at a time to give them time to settle and see how your body reacts to them. www.brightonfab.com www.fetiqueuk.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhKU-tmSQR8

Healing times do vary a lot between individuals...... but as a genral guide 8-12 weeks for healing time.. i would suggest having a pair done at a time as suggested by fetishjess.... or at a push 2 pairs done.... the one thing people dont realise about the outer labia is that there is a high chance of the piercing migrating out after some time (rejecting).... but usually people see a good few years out of them if positioned correctly....

popi has a total of 6 outer labia piercings to form a "ladder". She's posted about them a few times now (most recently here: http://www.informedconsent.co.uk/boards/uksmbf/1... Outer labia piercings tend to be more painful than inner labia piercings, mainly because they have to be sited deeper in the tissue (the inner labia tends to be much thinner.) There is also a risk of migration (as has been previously mentioned) which has more to do with constant pressure on the piercing through the healing phase than genuine rejection. It's a good idea to do the original piercing with bars (we used titanium bars for popi's until they healed then stretched them up to take heavier gauged smooth segment rings.) Expect quite a bit of swelling and discomfort to begin with. All that tissue reaction around new piercings can increase the chances of migration too, so it really is good advice to avoid doing all your piercings in one go (as tempting as that may feel.) Good luck with them... lili x "Show me the books he loves and I shall know the man far better than through mortal friends." (Dawn Adams)

I have 6 outer labia piercings. I had them done over two sessions. No problems with them whatsoever and I have graduated rings and the bottom pair are stretched to 5mm thickness. They do look very pretty (in our opinion anyway!) Sex after about a week, though nothing too vigorous. And back to normal service at about 2 - 3 weeks. Get them done, they are lovely and very erotic. One word of warning.... jeans are bloody uncomfortable these days !!

Thanks for the advice guys. I popped to the piercers today and chatted it over with her. She charges £40 a piercing, does that sound about right?

susie has 11 each side ( outer), and we'd agree, no more than a week or so to heal - hers were done in two's and one set of 4 but that was too much and not repeated...also agree about trousers (and knickers ) - she no longer wears either! To grow old is mandatory. To grow up is optional

yes, that's the price I paid as well (£ 80 total) - although they charge less at some Croydon piercing shop, forgot which one it was - could have been the London Piercing Clinic (they're good I've heard) ------------------------------------------- This is the Island of Zombie Women

i've got 2 in each inner labia but not my outer. i love it when they get laced closed or held together with a padlock. as other people have been saying, healing time does vary from individual to individual. as for the price, mine have been about £35 for a pair. i'm not sure i would recommend getting so many done in one go though, it could be rather too painful, no matter how much you like pain...

It depends where you go and how they are. If you plan to have a lot, you should be able to find someone who will do all of them for a better price. Saying that, ideally cost shouldn't be an overriding factor in choosing a good place to get them done. A couple of people have mentioned rejecting. The one on the right hand side rejected within about 3 months of having it but the left one was fine. That's been stretched up and I have had the right side redone and I have my fingers crossed that it will stay in this time! www.brightonfab.com www.fetiqueuk.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhKU-tmSQR8

I really REALLY want mine done. I have read that getting them done in pairs can sometimes be a problem as they rub together. Anyone have any feelings about this? To the OP, good luck getting them done, hope it all goes OK and let us know how you get on (If only because I need to know it's not TOO painful... I'm a big wuss!) |
