I went to bed last Friday night not to see it again until the early hours of Monday. Nothing unusual about that and three great fetish events visited. Yah!!
Monday a late start at the workshop but I only had something to finish that was well under way. Should be easy.
Huh ~ workshop flooded and last weeks soggy shavings floating in 2" of water. Little progress.
Tuesday and earlier start and some catching up to do. Material already cut ready for the planer/thicknesser. It makes a terrible noise as I switch on and I spend the rest of the day taking it apart in the cold and cursing french manufacturing techniques.
Wednesday a fairly early start. 2 hours reassembling a dubiously modified drive spindle and on to a friends house to work on her bathroom floor - Nice to work in a heated place and have some company, Later a perv events planning meeting in Leeds ~ so an easy day.
Thursday - up before its light. Tentatively switch the planer on - phew. Glued up, but finished in semi darkness as 2 (yes 2) fluorescent tubes went and I only have 3 to start with. Still - managed a first coat of stain in the darkness.
Friday. Shopping for lighting. More stain. Final assembly and polish takes till 6 then a 2 hour wait until I can upholster. All done and home by 10.30 so ready for bed now before another weekend with three (again) fet events.
Just a normal week. Just as well I don't have a real job ![]()

I sometimes wonder how I managed to keep a real job and do life, too. The awful thing is, I have to start again, soon Hope your workshop is drying out x I'm a threadkiller, twisted threadkiller |

Be careful with all that water and electricity! Hope you are all dried out and warm again and with light!
I do rather like my day job, but sometimes I wish I was unencumbered and could just do my photography but once you start making your hobby your living, it does tend to lose some of it's appeal (or at least I am trying to convince myself of that, and not doing a very good job I'm in my own world. It's Ok, they know me here. |
