First ever Munch ... (8)
wonderer's profile
Posted by wonderer on Thu 17 Jan 08, 2:00 AM
... with the full (though slightly concerned) support of Mrs Wonderer. And what a fascinating, eye-opening and enjoyable evening. Had the pleasure of meeting people in some ways so different to my normal circles, more alternative, creative, colourful. Some of the jewels who stand out in the rich tapestry which is humanity.
Thank you all.

Good on you!
Do you think that Mrs Wonderer be less concerned if she accompanied you to a munch, and saw for herself how "normal" everyone is?

Hey, I never made such a vile accusation as to call anyone normal!

Well, that's why I used the inverted commas!
Good on you!

Oh ... glad I'm not a nubile young thing then!
Don't think it would appeal to Mrs W - apart from anything else the volume of background music in that particular pub would be offputting. A fantastic venue for a munch in so many ways but a few people will find it not to their taste. I can imagine her getting on with some of those I met there though. I hope to be regular at the Nottingham ("LND") Munch.
I'm about to do a weblog about The London Munch which I was able to attend on Friday - with interesting comparisons and contrasts. Ubi caritas et amor, Deus ibi est.
