I'd be extremely surprised that you had managed to find a male childminder, given that the vast majority of childminders are female. And whether the childminder was male (very unlikely) or female, I'd want clarification of my friend's gossip before making an informed decision.

Hmm - I take your point but some of us have pretty good reasons for not admitting we are kinky or have a fetish - or, at least, only to those we trust with this information Good luck to all who support the day, though. I hope it goes very well indeed

It's too late to change the tagline. If people are truely passionate about the tagline, then after this one it can look to be changed. The important part of this message is that we should be united. So, if that's wearing a colour you don't like or putting up with a word you don't like to enable a united front, then so be it. As it is often said, you can't please all of the people all of the time, which is a shame but very true. I, for one, will be in purple on 21st Jan. www.brightonfab.com www.fetiqueuk.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhKU-tmSQR8

Who "they"? The government, perhaps? This thread is bizarre in the sense of the cnut-like quality of so many of the contributions. There isn't any "they". The idea surfaced... caught fire in true viral fashion, and is happening. On 21 January, there is enough impetus for this idea that several thousand people at least now believe that this is the National Fetish Day. It is, whether people on here like it or not, in much the same way as any other "Day" happens. People are cordially invited to participate. A lot of those participating will do so under the tagline "Perverts wear purple". Some people, who disagree strenuously, will participate under a different tagline. Some won't participate at all. Its a bit like Red Nose Day. Personally, I don't participate in that....but it happens whether I like it or not. Or "talk like a pirate day". National Fetish Day will happen whether you or I or anyone else agree with it. Its probably got sufficient legs that it will come back next year - and almost certainly without any sort of organising committee. How do you "make it" conform more closely to what you would like it to be? Simple. As purplepenny suggests, just come up with a slogan, a tag, an idea that is catchier, more appealing, more instantly likely to be taken up than "Perverts wear Purple". Intellectualising won't help at all. Regards, John Interesting link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/objectification_in...
