It's his birthday today. He is 24, 11 years younger than me.
Also a Sagatarian. We are alike in lots of ways.
I was with him an hour after he was born. He was the most pleasant, lovely baby ever!
I helped to chose his godparents, I chose well. I was at his christening. I was at most of the important events in his earlier life. I supported his hobbies and activities, even if they may not have been the path I would have chosen. I have not regret a moment. I have the joy of doing all the things my mom was not able to, I got the fun jobs, the rollercoasters, swimming, days out, jumping into my car and off we went.
I don't see him as much these days, distance being one issue, busy lives being another.
I don't love him any less. I am no less aware of his achievements and how incredibly proud I am of him. The times we spend together are precious, I enjoy sharing those moments with those close to me too.
I let him know how well he has done, and how he is a credit to himself, and everyone who is fortunate enough to be a part of his life.
He is wise beyond his years. He is kind, considerate, has honour and integrity. Oh he has made his mistakes, but don't we all. He has time for people, he enjoys helping others, and that shows in the carerr he has chosen. His humour, insight, his ability to listen, and empower, leaves me in awe.
I am incredibly lucky to have such a great brother. How did I get so lucky!!

To Gra, may you have the most wonderful birthday, and many more years to come, may I always be fortunate enough to have your inspiration throughout my life.

Gosh gosh gosh, that is lovely. I came to post a little post of my own and thought i ought to just look at what people were chatting about, it seems rude to just barge in, and then such warm siblingy sentiments that I wanted to say so even though you are a total complete and uter stranger. It is funny this blogging business, I'm still not very used to it. Anyway now I'm going to do the blog i came to do so I hope no one else is saying heart warming things I have to have my say about. |
