There are loads of BDSM dating sites. Apart from ALT, IC, bondage.com and collarme none of get any traffic. You can find a list of their corpses on the websites page. Every now and then someone thinks their new BDSM dating site will be different. No it won't, as the websites list proclaims. Science, the only religion that works even if you don't believe in it. | |

I agree with bohnanza. IC seems the best overall, or at least the one most suited to my tastes. Great personal ads (though it's a shame "sort by join date" has gone), interesting web boards, handy events listings, and no disappointment at finding my soulmate lives in California. bondage.com has good chat rooms, especially #ukbdsm, and personal chat. Listings there occasionally get a response. Remember to add contact details, because free members can't memo you. collarme.com is a close second to IC for personal ads, but I've not used the rest of their facilities. alt.com may be useful if you and people you wish to meet are prepared to give credit card details. Otherwise most attempts to view or add anything redirect you to the "pay here" screen. (I'm concerned about privacy; many are reluctant to spend money on what's free elsewhere.) | |

I think you have more luck in a site like match.com, datingdirect or whatever and posting a careflly worded advert or, better still, contacting a 100 women on each site that you like, write a lovely email all about yourself, your vanilla hobbies, etc, and then add a non-offensive paragraph or two about your kink side. The worst that can happen is that 100 women you do not know ignore you. | |

Just a personal observation, but collarme.com seems to be full of horrible people. The general atmosphere over there seems a tad loopy. I like it here better. | |

As a personal view IC seems by far the best, because it has a lively "community" of people who post, discuss, barrack, name-call and generally offend the heck out of each other. The problem with practically every other site I've seen is that they're so full of fantasists, people pretending to be what they're not, people wanting to make a fast buck by practically any means possible and all sorts of other undesirables that they're generally as much use as a chocolate teapot and nothing like as tasty.
