I miss him too. He was someone I could turn to for manly advice (my own father having died a long time ago). We would talk, when the womenfolk were out of earshot, about womankind, cars and various varieties of ale with improbable names.
A proper country gentleman, who accomplished an amazing amount and was still not finished when he died.

You have my deepest sypmathies I know how you feel, I went through this 6 years ago this month... phone call at 6am, died in bed peacefully of a heart attack, no pain or suffering - the only blessing. He would have been 64 now too. It just doesn't seem real does it?
All I can offer is that the pain will lessen in time, never go away but it will be less. You will miss him always but be able to smile too and say he lived well and had a family who loved him. He would want you to keep on living.
My heart is truley with you and you family at this time.
