Please make my life a lot easier
Get up off your arse and go and give Blood! 
Orders have been coming in from Hospitals faster than Donations from the public, resulting in a very poor level of stocks...
normally when they tell the press they are short of blood, it's actually only specific groups... but at the moment it's across the board
it's such an easy thing to do... if you have never given blood why not think about it now
after all its the season for giving...
and you could give someone the gift of life

Unfortunately I'm not able to as I've had two transfusions already although I am thankful to the people who do give blood (if not slightly jealous they get to be poked with needles) | ||

I have tried but they aint interested in me unless I stop taking my tablets for four weeks, that is something I can't do at this time but I do normally give blood when I see a donation bus.

You're also not allowed to give blood if you're male, and have ever had unprotected oral sex with another man. But this prohibition doesn't apply if you're female, which strikes me as a little homophobic. "Now we're photogenic, you know we don't stand a chance" | ||

I used to donate regularly having given more than 60 donations but unfortunately am now diabetic and not allowed to donate. If everyone that could give blood on a regular basis donated there wouldn't be this problem | ||

I worked for the East of Scotland Blood Transfusion Service for two years and know how important it is that people give blood. I really really want to donate but I had a blood transfusion in 1989. I begged and pleaded with them. Offered to undergo any test they felt necessary but alas in accordance with the rules I cannot give blood. I thank those people who donate regularly and even those who have only been once but keep meaning to go back.

i can't give blood either due to health issues.
