I've found precise definitions to be one of the most contentious issues on IC and in amongst the BDSM scene in general. I've always avoided trying to pigeonhole myself, but given recent events I've felt a definite development that needs spelling out.
I feel I've migrated more towards an emotional level of submission. I mean, it's obvious that I've connected deeply to Ajay, but this weekend I felt a definite meteoric shift. We had a long and particularly debaucherous scene on Sunday (won't go into any gory details - just picture cocks and all the places they could go) and throughout it, I had to endure a couple of challenging scenarios. This has been difficult for me in the past, especially when her (on hindsight, utterly delicious) evil streak shows through, but somehow I could see the utter joy in her eyes, and that drove me through anything I could remotely consider a hardship.
And that, to me, is a key core of submission. Enduring, where you would otherwise not, for your Dominant's pleasure.
Maybe I'm talking grade-A crap. But I don't care. I like it. I love it and I love what I'm growing into.

What Chris said. You glow. Even when you're not with the lovely lady in question, you shine, but all the more when you're together. Long may it continue. A happier you makes the world a brighter place because those of us who are your friends can bask a little in delight of seeing you in your present state of mind. hugs tiggs "A life without pain has no meaning" Athrur Schopenhauer |
