So, I have a whole week to catch up! I have been away you see. No, I know you didn't miss me, but bugger off, it seems like a lifetime so there!
Ahhhh that's better!
Well, now, I was away working all week, at faulty towers. We called the hotel faulty towers, not because the proprietor bore any kind of natural resemblance, but because everything was faulty!
From the food through to the phones, nothing quite worked. except we did. A few 1 and 2am finishes and some fun along the way but a hard week away all the same. Made a whole lot better by the welcome at the station tonight. Capi, J and Leigh all there. If I ever needed a reminder of just what my family mean to me, a week deprived of them and a homecoming like that just spell it out in foot high letters! The relief that spreads over me when I come back to where I want to be............
And having Leigh to stay is always good. Ha! just wait until we get our new house, then we can really look after our friends! We have been limited a little by having our two small houses but once we get our hands one one big f..... off big un............ put it this way, our guest list is filling me with, well, excitement but at the same time genuine love and affection, I really can't wait!
I did have a revealing conversation with a colleague while I was away though. They used the word Dominant twice in one evening and my ears sort of pricked up at that. So I explored power based relationships in a psychological setting and they did say that the path to real happiness, for them, lay in admitting the true nature of the individual and only then could one fully engage in a loving relationship. Ahhhhh the path of true enlightenment, at least for me it was!
And lastly but certainly not least the Oh bugger part of the title. Wenchie, Mel and Baz, happy anniversary, oh bugger I bloody well missed the carrier pigeon, or the chef at faulty towers got there first! ( the pie was awful!)

Funnily enough while in the hairdressers yesterday reading one of those women's magazines they throw at you, Elle I think it was, big thick glossy focusing on designer clothes that none of us would ever buy but hey... There was an article on why many women like submissive sexual relationships and a bit of a spanking, and then about three pages later another article on dressing as a dominatrix. That's the new black apparently.... It was most amusing to read a main stream vanilla journalist struggling with these concepts. She wasn't that wrong in what she said though, just didn't go into it that deeply - as you'd expect in a mag like that. Looking forward to visiting you in the big new house!
