After a few months absence - mainly due to the fact that we now live several hours away and therefore have to find somewhere to actually stay - we finally made it back down to Bournemouth for the Consensual Kink party on the 2nd of November. Held at 30 Avenue Road in Bournemouth, the event is normally the first Friday of each month - though watch for a date change in December, when the event will be held on Saturday 15th instead.

People wanting a general overview of the club might want to read my previous weblog entry from June (link here), this entry will assume some familiarty with the club and layout to avoid too much repetition.

The theme this time was "Fire & Ice" - which meant that copious amounts of ice were provided, there were candles on each table (which in at least one instance, provided wax play), and a fire dancing display done by FLAME. Suggestions for themed clothing included "Red and Hot, or Cool and White!", and the red part at least had been well taken up on - surely not because most fetish wardrobes consist of black and red?

The last time we went to CK the venue was still being fitted out, to the point that bits had been blocked off by sheets of material and such. However, the work is now complete and all the bars were open - and providing the aforementioned ice. The venue is quite interesting, spread out over three floors, although the top floor is mainly used for ticket purchase and organisation by the crew since it has large windows at street level, and not much space to swing a flogger anyway!

The second floor wasn't very much changed, and they had most of the equipment up there this time - cross, spanking bench and spanking stool, mantis chair and cage. Red votive candles were also distributed among the tables by one of the staff members shortly after we arrived (having turned up rather on the early side), and also lit. Downstairs had been finished off quite a bit, and houses the dance floor (including another cross), some seating, and also has the toilets, dressing rooms and cloakroom. We didn't spend too long downstairs, since neither of us like dance music or are used to the rather deafening music level, but we did sit down for a while and watch the people dancing for a while before the fire show, and there were quite a lot of people who did use the dance floor. There is also a dance pole, but no one was brave enough to use it in the short time we were there!

The fire show was provided by FLAME, who apparently also put on a display at the July event. Since we'd been unable to make it to that evening, it was our first time seeing them, and they were quite impressive. The display seemed to have quite a bit of a fetish overtone; I'm not sure if they do a similar display for vanilla events or if they tailor each one to the audience. The only downside was that of course everyone wanted to see, and the space around the dance floor is limited due to the layout of the room, so some people had a bit of a restricted view.

We decided to carry on a tradition and dig right in, so about ten minutes after paying our dues and getting in I was locked into the cage - and ended up spending about an hour in it, because unfortunately Master ran into someone He knew and ended up talking with him for ages while deliberately leaving me there because I apparently pester to play too much. As if! Ice was procured by His 'helpful' friend, and prompted shoved down my top. By the time I was finally let out my feet were killing (ow, the heels!) and it was time for some serious play.

We tested out the spanking bench with our (growing) flogger collection, and once again our 'helpful' friend intervened by playing to the theme and dripping the now-melted wax from the candle over my bared backside. Having not been expecting this in the slightest it was a shock, albeit quite a good one - the wax was at a very nice temperature, and it was a genuine surprise, which is sometimes hard to come by. We later made use of the mantis chair, with some help from Cameron with bondage rope once he'd finished the bulk of his bouncer duties for the evening. The tie was incredibly tight and very good, although unfortunately my lack of flexibility meant we had to take it off considerably sooner than I would have liked. Finish off with a tit flogging on the cross and you have one satisfied, ready-for-sleep slave!

Overall we had a really enjoyable evening, I was buzzing for the whole of the next day. As usual, I'd thoroughly recommend anyone in the area pop along to at least one CK event and check it out - the dress code is reasonable, the price isn't extortionate, and the organisers do try to make sure everyone feels comfortable (or as comfortable as they want to feel!!).
