You are the author and so have common copyright. However by posting on IC you have granted rights in the terms of use when signing up for IC. However sending the work to yourself by special delivery and signing the envelope at both ends, then keeping it unopened proves a date at what point it was written and can have some baring on any claim you have over the copyright.
