Ahhhhhh good morning IC'ers.
Lovely morning. Except, well, actually it is still dark.
I'm not normally around at this time of the morning. In fact I once said that if I saw this time of the morning, I had better be doing something incredibly rude!
No such luck!
J is in my bed sound asleep but, for some reason, bouncing about in the bed. He seems restless for some reason. I don't know! I'm usually spark out at this time! Capi and Sherbetface are snuggled up in the other room, hopefully sleeping the sleep of the utterly replete. I hope so because they are an absolute joy to me.
So why the heck am I here?
Well, I went to Nem for the first time on my own! Yes! They let me out (sometimes)!
Ah but for a very, very good reason. Ms Devi and Mr Loc were duly joined in a handfasting ceremony last night. And what a lovely, lovely ceremony it was too. Performed by the consummate professional Kat of the Leather Family, suitably assisted by louisa. Ladies, that was beautiful!
My attendance was all the fault of Sweetiejar (I love you!) who had asked if I would do the photography for the happy couple. "Of course" I said, "I'd be delighted" And, I have been. Absolutely delighted for the happy couple, who looked resplendent but their guests too who dressed to the nines and even waited patiently for their pics to be taken even though the buffet was there! Now that really IS dedication!
I hope to have a lovely album for them so they can treasure the night, sharing with friends. I truly wish them well as they journey through life together.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I am still awake! The spirit of the evening has left me energised and now I can't sleep. Candles were lit for Rochelle and our thoughts are with her and her family right now.
It was an evening where everyone involved showed exactly what is so good about our little community. In thought and prayer and celebration.
I am honoured to have played a small part in that and I will treasure the memory of a celebration, a union and thought spread far and wide.
Good night IC, or should I say good morning? xxx

It was a pleasure to meet you, albeit briefly as you was so busy..... Thanks for the way you conducted the photography, checking that the shots were OK. Not the your done move on mentality............... Thanks for being so helpful, considerate, and being you R ~~~The way to love anything is to realise that it might be lost~~~ |

Wasnt it a wonderful night! They looked absolutely stunning, dont think I will ever look at Loc again without seeing him in that red suit. Devi looked simply awesome, but then she always does. As well as being beautiful on the outside she has a radiantly beautiful soul that shines out. Its no surprise to me that so many were there to wish them well, they are simply lovely people. I am sure the photos will be outstanding darling, you have a gift. I am especially keen to see the one where Devi discovers there really is no back to a jock strap! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sweetiejar |

at 5.40 am we were entwined in bed having a conversation about the difference between monkeys and monkey-monkeys, or as I put it, banana eaters of the world united And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. |
