I have never written anything negative about events that take place for the benefit of people in the BDSM Scene however in this case I feel compelled to review "Club Severine” The After Market Fetish Party.

I have been active on the BDSM scene for 7 years and have until very recently been to an event once a month at least ! This makes me like no other an expert but I do feel the knowledge of what a Player in the BDSM likes . The place I played for the first time in public was the BBB After Party when it was held at Supreme.

The many clubs I have been too have been well enjoyed as the space is generally thought out by Players themselves who know what is needed for a good event. Clubs need not be the most Professional Dungeon verifiably; one persons perfect play space is another's dump. Take for instance the club event created for Kinklusive, at the Men's Sauna in Manchester, previously had been used for a SM Dyke event that was well received and very much enjoyed by the majority. The dark tunnels and small private rooms gave the place a deeply sexy, impure vibration that brought out hard S/m and even harder sex. That said for Kinklusive however it was not as well liked by Fetish worshippers not intent on playing heavy, thus highlighting the disparate nature of opinion but I diverse.

Daddi Lee and I, due to personal physical problems had not been able to attend any event since Ceasers in December, much to our dismay. Making the effort finally we decided to visit Club Severine, to finally play and release the energy built up over these many months.

I do not know if I was swayed by the name attached to the event that enticed our choice but what was obvious was the clear exaggeration of the advertisement.

Without a doubt the club was far easier to find and closer to the BBB than the previous venue, just 1.5 miles. The club was easily spotted though it seemed at night to be in a slightly dodgy area, people wandering between the cars looking in windows, making the area seemingly unsafe to leave your car. This is of course not something the owners of the event can do little about however, without obvious parking, leaving no choice but to leave our car quite some distance in a lay by, not an ideal location.

Continuing on, we made out way to the front door, and had to wait quite some time before it was opened. We actually thought perhaps we had got the wrong venue or maybe it had not opened yet! Registration was very simple however the flyer requested ID on first visit, we were simply asked to fill the form. The advertisement also boasts that Straight , Gay , Lesbian , Transvestite and Transgender were all welcome but we were charged as two single females (a higher rate) regardless that our registration stated we were a couple. We stressed we had never been to the event before , though no one offered to show us around the venue , simply telling us to go up the stairs, in the end we asked the bar staff even they were a little vague.

I was very surprised to see many people ordering copious amounts of alcohol such as many bottles of wine and such for a play event I would be more restrictive as we all know the dangers of S/m and booze. The claims of "Luxury changing rooms” were inflated and not well signed posted with many asking, "where are the changing rooms?" only to be pointed to the Staff room.

Looking around it was plain to see that the vent was taken place in a Gentlemen's club (strip joint), with the center stage complete with pole and many chairs positioned everywhere, one of a few plus point. This "Professional Dungeon” was in fact a total of five pieces of dungeon equipment some even we were trying to figure out, such as a kneeling bench , St Andrew's Cross a double sided A frame and two others that were questionable. Without identifiable Dungeon Monitors it was quite a puzzle .The space could have been much better organized with seating moved to make space to play and placement of the furniture more carefully thought out. The equipment was so closely put together that you could neither raise a cane on the main floor or even think about using a flogger as the next piece was a mere 3 feet from the other piece and blocking the path to the ladies toilet! I can only surmise that stroking a fluffy BDSM must take place generally unless you were brave enough to go on the main stage for at least some arm swinging room.

The private play areas consisted of the booths that during stripping hours clients pay to have a lap dance, with a single kneeling bench situated right next to the open exit door. I can only imagine that the door was open to allow those who smoked a place outside however the doors of the exit were situated off the main play space giving arctic like conditions, freezing! Those who know BDSM are aware that a warm play space is required to give a better ambience and comfort for submissive's when both half naked and during play! If you need a smoking place use another exit , not one so close to the play space , however if it cant be avoided use the large outdoor patio heaters to warm to exit and the play space !!

The music was much to be desired with "Je Taime" and "Savage Garden" giving the mood of the event, that akin to some very bad "making out music”. Not very sexy! Where these Strict House Mistresses were, I have no clue, again without any marking system it was difficult to point out who you may go up to if a newbie wanted to request play. What mistakes I wonder have occurred here?

Considering we arrived at 8:00pm the venue was dead, only a handful of quiet people. Considering the venue closed at 11:30pm I was surprised only a few had attended however in retrospect I understand. The "Fetish Fashion Shows" and "Burlesque Cabaret along with "Impromptu Performances “were a mystery. No one had any idea when these scheduled shows should take place and I can only assume that the "Impromptu Performances” were the little play taking place. The "Strict Dress code" of no street clothes , jeans or trainers seemed very slack as quite a few single males were dotted about the event with street clothes on , as if the clients of the strip club had walked in off the street , unaware that this was meant to be a "FETISH Party" .

As a female couple we were quite alarmed to note that when searching for a room temperature part to a club and possible play space , were promptly followed by three plain clothed single men , obviously wanting to get their rocks off watching too women ! This was very intimidating and annoying as where the DM's were, to monitor this behavior as they all loitered near us! We had had enough!

I will be sending this to the event organizers much to my dismay my Dominants and personal opinions however I feel so strongly about this event I believe it is only fair and respectful to inform a negative review in the hopes of changes.

My comments that are positive are that the venue was indeed very nice for a strip club with plenty of seating not always so available at some events but that is all I can say that is good regarding Club Severine....Sorry!!!!! fck

I went to the first night there and have been to several others. When I first went there, I really thought that it showed some promise. I had a chat to the staff, pointing out its good points and shortcomings and I was told about the improvements that would be made. The only thing to change in all that time is an increase in equipment.

The thing that I really hate about it is the lack of lighting. To “play” safely, I need to be able to see the state of Dawn's skin. It is so dark where most of the equipment is that she could have had a dirty great tattoo across her ass and I would not be able to tell. They have constantly said that this will be improved. We went to the September party and the lighting was fantastic, we were very pleased. They then turned it off. We spoke to the doorman, who spoke to the management and said he was sorry but the organisers insisted that it be turned off.

As you say, the stage is the only place where there is room to play. I think that the kit is OK, but it is so crowded together that it is practically unusable. The cross on the stage is the only really useable bit of equipment as you have the room and the lighting there. With no idea when the show will be though, if you are mid scene and they want to do a show, you usually only get a few minutes to wrap it up.

There is nothing luxury, or sumptuous about the place, but I do think that it is adequate. The changing rooms and gents are very basic, but fit for purpose.

What makes me most annoyed about it is that I think that the worst problems could be easily rectified with some very small changes.

  • Improve the lighting. All that is needed is to leave the lighting as it was when we arrived last month.
  • Leave the large piece of equipment where it is, move another piece where the chairs are in front of the gents and another piece somewhere else, such as near the back entrance.
  • DM the dungeon a bit better.
  • Vary the music a bit more.
  • Publicise the show times and give plenty of time for people to finish their scenes.

These easy changes will make such a huge difference to the night.

A group of us went to the second event there a few months ago and it was, for want of a better expression, crap!

-poor lighting

-poor and badly sited equipment

-the bar was filled with regulars and a group of hookers

-drinks prices were excessive

-lousy music

-venue was generally "sleazy"

-underwhelming "atmosphere"

-No meet'n'greet or obvious DM's

It was a poor experience back then and it doesn't sound like it's improved any.

I forgot that when I did my reply, but the drinks are very over priced.

I am quite relieved that no attacks have ocurred . I have to admit with some peoples attitudes I was expecting a flame or too defending the event!!

I have sent a link and covering letter of appology to the event organizers so that they can see what has been written to hopefully urge change.

I would like to add that the price of drinks is probably what the venue charges its clients on stripping nights as that is what most strip joints do to get extra money from you! However that is a bit unfair when this is not a gentlmens club night (although the number of plain clothed people I question even that!)

I believe that if chairs were moved from around the main stage that the space would be opened up!

Also if they spread the play equipmeent around the club on both sides of the stage it would give much better room for play! ( Its not as if there is not enough seating?

Thanks for your replies fck

Hell I just did a dead long reply with quotes from Gaz pressed send and it's not printed it!!!!!

I've got to go out so -

yes Gaz's ideas good,

move piece of equipment from ladies to outside dj booth

dressing rooms are great but not 'sumptous' big with mirrors and shower tons better than changing in ladies

smokers cause the problem leaving the door open freezing the club out, only place they can go n club has just built them a porch

John is only 1 person he does try & show everyone round, he needs a monitor and another meet n greeter.

there is good play space in room nr exit with curtain & big booth at back if you put chairs across to keep onlookers out

I find a LOT less wanky men following me than at Ceasars which I stopped going to altogether n without their todgers hanging out (but maybe that's changed a bit?). Guess they let in some regulars that night which John should address.

There's always men in the scene there in black shirts n trousers that have come from BBB who won't dress up there's been threads on it b4!

Lots of us use it as a place to meet our mates after BBB so only play a little and drink n chat a lot hence the booze orders I guess!

The odd contraptions were proably an upright frame where you can tie 2 people up to and a very long lying bench in pale wood. Made me scratch my head too.

Entry is £7.50 for women n blokes dressed as women, I don't know what couples are but thought it was £15? Maybe it's £10. It'll be on the event dates board.

You get free chocs all night on door, free cloakroom, staff call me a taxi & escort me to it, drinks a bit expensive like most clubs.

I like most of the music but then I can play to Rammstein others just can't!

you can pm John on IC he's a member - John Dietrich the fetish photographer

Impromptu performances are just that - if people who can dance are there they dance, last time I was there in Aug Venus Noire did a full burlesque number and Lesley Jane a pole dance in rubber catsuit in between scenes, nothing was really planned.

There's always been 2 or 3 mistresses each time I've gone and I've only missed a few. Guess they were all doing other things last week - like me.

Will see if John's made any changes for Nov when I go!

I disagree with most of the above, I find Club Severine a really friendly club with some great mistresses. As a submissive man myself I am always honoured when stunning looking Mistress Xena or Madam Raison D'etre condescend to play with me - they are fabulous! I hope, no pray, that it will never change. I also witnessed John do a wonderful public caning of a slim blonde girl. I note you did not include any of this in your critique.

Club Severine is a very friendly club - no dungeon monitors are needed and every club has wanky men it just so happens Severine has fewer of them. I am a regular visitor to Club Severine, I never had my car interfered with or my girlfriend - much to her annoyance! You haven't made one valid criticism - if you are trying to make a career out of reviewing clubs it was hardly a fair or balanced critique - choose another career and let us real pervs get on with it.

There was really no need for this to get personal. FCK stated her opinions on facts she witnessed and felt after attending the event. Everyone has their own thoughts, feelings and opinions, imo, these are not always going to be the same with everyone. I am glad your experience with Club Severine has been a positive one, as I am sure there are many others. Ours left a lot to be desired.

There is no need for the personal comments. Alas,as always seems to be the case on IC, a simple post turns into a personal attack.

I am the One who caresses her soul..
