If everyone took that viewpoint then just about every thread on IC would be full of off topic replies. minx is asking people to stay on topic if they want a response from her. if they don't want a response from her on the topics she raised then fine. just don't post.

Master having now posted a reponse to the various issues people raised, minx thinks that it isn't necessary to discuss them further. But if anyone wishes to discuss them further please contact Master at Skin Two minx

IF that were true then why is the title 'The XPO How ripped off do we feel?, rather than 'Punters, please don't complain that you didn't like the Expo' or somesuch.
OK, to answer the question you posed in the thread title:
We didn't feel ripped off AT ALL. It was a great day out and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Xpo
I think you'll find that people dislike being told what to do. and what they can and can't post. Anyone else - what's wrong with taking a large bag of junk food to an event? Is it the greasy fingers on nice corsets that is a problem perhaps? Just wondering like.. ==================================

Having read this whole thread and as an entirely non-partisan observer I felt this point needed to be repeated.

I know it's probably just me but I really can't get worked up about an argument between a couple of companies trying to make money out of a few kinky people. I'm going for a walk on the beach instead.

minx refers everyone who wanted relevant questions answered to Master's reply. See below TimWoodward wrote: I don't often post, but there's such a lot of completely wrong information on this thread that I thought I'd let anyone interested have the facts... The Skin Two Expo was started 9 years ago by Skin Two - first at the ICA, then at the Barbican, long before I had ever heard of Cathy Norris. Some years later, Cathy applied for the job of Event Manager and got it. She did a good job. Later still, Paul Norris got more involved and they became promoters, under licence from Skin Two. This did not go well. We were unhappy with last year in particular. Norris then made us a new proposition for 2007, which was not realistic, so we parted company. At no time was Skin Two a 'media partner' - we own the show. We never agreed to Norris's demands for 'guarantees'. Norris had booked our old venue, the Barbican, and started their rival show, using a name that sounded a bit like ours and a logo that looked a bit like ours. Some people even assumed that their new show really was the Skin Two Expo. Meantime, the Skin Two Expo carried on as always, using a new venue this year. It was Norris who set up a new rival show. There has been a lot of noise on he web from the Norrisses and their friends. Our former magazine editor even converted his website into an an anti-skin two rant. Skin Two has refrained from slagging anyone off and stuck to the facts. The end result was that a lot of people stayed away from both shows - both pervs and exhibitors. The two shows shared what was left. Setting up a rival expo on the same days as the Skin Two Expo proved to be about as clever as setting up a rival club called Torture Greenhouse on the same night as Torture Garden. Not a great plan. Both Xpo and Expo were disappointing this year, no matter what anyone tells you. Thank goodness, the Rubber Ball went well and the Sunday night party was fun, too. One or two people e-mailed me with questions on all this and got a prompt reply. 'SN' of Croydon would have got a reply, too, if he had bothered to mail me, or even drop in for a chat, before putting all this stuff online. In response to Tanos, the politics is a big negative all right. However, it - and the entire situation - was not set up by Skin Two. It is quite wrong to think that Skin Two attacked the brave Norrisses, who who took a stand and refused to give in. It was more like the other way around, really. As ever, if anyone wants a plain answer, or wants to make a serious comment, they can find me at Skin Two. We use our real names. We answer e-mails and even the phone. We don't slag people off. But maybe some people actually prefer ranting and raving on the web, where you can say any old nonsense as though it were true...

Can I ask you an important question? Has anything anyone wrote on here sunk in yet? You are making yourself, your master and the company you are supporting look terrible on a public forum. Why do you do it? Frankly it is embarrassing.

If you have imagination, you don't need any of these companies. There's almost nothing you can't make for your play with just the use of an empty washing up bottle, a couple of corn flakes boxes and some double-sided tape.
