Hi All,
Having been a member on her for 3 years I have met some great people just by lots of patience and luck! However I'm currently looking for that special someone, or just people with a similar interests but am sick and tired of trawling through personal adds and chatting to people online...
I didnt think that I would ever want to go to a club/munch but found myself considering it for the first time recently. Does anyone have any advice for a nervous 21 year old single female wishing to join in (I'm currently living in Birmingham but 'home' is London)?!

Yeah! Get your ass down to our mid week munch! *G* First wednesday of each month, at The Old Joint Stock opposite St Phillips. It's a very friendly, laid back do, vanilla looking - so long as no one listens into the conversations!!.
We've been running this munch since January and have had scene newbies and munch newbies at almost every one. You will be well looked after and 'chaperoned' by either Bastian or myself until you feel comfortable. Even after that we keep an eye on our 'guests' to make sure they are having a good experience.
So...ping me for a chat if you like - or more info. One of us can meet you at the door and take you in so you aren't confronted by a room of freaky strangers on your own.
I PROMISE you won't regret it.

Finding someone you get along with online who can take you to a first club or munch would be a gentle way in, that way you are not a lone stranger and whoever is taking you will likely introduce you to people they know and kickstart a circle of friends within which may be what you are looking for.
