You don't need invites. Check out the events listings and just go there. BBB could be a good start, you might make acquaintances there and at least have some familiar faces when you go to a munch or club. Just do it.

I don't think that many people have an issue with forthright attitude, theres very few of us on the Midlands scene that are the shy and retiring type.
The best way to find out what events are on, are to watch this board, there is always posts about what is happening. This week (as already said) there is Rapture on Friday at Ceasers. You will need 2 forms of ID, to be able to join, but it is well worth it, means that you can go along to any event advertised for there. On the Saturday is the Birmingham Munch. Sunday is the BBB, then the Rope Peer Workshop (also held at Ceasers).
Not quite sure I understand the "submissive or Dominant but not by my choice" everything is by consent. If its not your choice, who's is it? One thing you will find about many of us, whether we are submissive or Dominant, we know our own minds, and embrace who and what we are.
May I suggest you also look up in "Event Dates" *points left* that gives a list of things that are on, for the next few weeks. It is always better if you learn these things for yourself, rather than relying on others
The rest, sorry if this offends, to be honest, dosen't much interest me. I like people for people.
