It was the annual awards day at my youngests school today and off her sister and I toddled, having been informed she was to pick up an award. We had no clue what award though till we got there and picked up the printed agenda from our seats. Browsing through said agenda my smile got bigger as I counted three awards with her name on them.
Best In Year for Mathematics.
Best In Year for Achievement in BTech Health and Social Care.
And a special award in recognition of her recently achieved C Grade in her Maths GCSE.
It was then announced that she would be resitting her Maths GCSE in November, just four short months after taking the first one, but this time at the higher level where she could possibly reach an A Grade.
To think she will have five GCSE's under her belt before even starting years 10 and 11 is absolutely amazing and I have to say not only how proud of her I am, but also how proud of the school I am. It is only a few short years ago this school had the lowest records in the UK, it now holds the highest. Just shows what a good headteacher can achieve!

You must be so proud! It is a very special moment when you see you children really acheive somthing. The best thing any parent can give their kids is the ability to get on in their lives! Remember: Amateurs...built the Ark. |
