I've just read a weblog and posts discussing the best way to GET and KEEP marks from caning etc. My "want" is just the opposite. How on EARTH can a caning, tawsing, wooden spooning, paddling, cropping, hairbrushing, etc etc etc be fairly painful - to the point of severe and leave as FEW marks as possible? Hopefully ones that will go within 24 hours or so. Tapping lightly doesn't do it - just drives me crazy. And the tapping eventually brings enough blood to the surface so even a light strike will mark anyway. The "put a wet towel over and hit that" resolve isn't one that appeals either. I LIKE the feel. And the sound. And the liberal use of arnica, and zinc afterwards doesn't seem to work that well. Someone must know - what can i do to my skin BEFORE so the marks show enough to please a "Him" but fade fast After??
No clever answers like "don't do it" or "use a liquorice flogger" please. I've been through all those jokes already with a couple of friends. Haha hilarious - use a candyfloss paddle

For some of us it is our secret life and marks are an issue..I can suggest arnica slowely dissolved on the tongue..as against the cream

Well, it's all very individual - some people just generally bruise more than others - but I used to bruise and mark quite severely but about 6-8 months into the relationship, we've noticed it's just not happening anymore. I still have marks but they normally don't last more than a few hours. Long live the Kink!

You can't - to any decent level. Impact play is basically designed to either bruise, weal or raise blood to the surface and leave marks. How long those marks remain depends on the individual. You either accept the marks or live with gentle impact.

It's a general rule of physics, the broader and flatter the implement the less 'incision' there will be, ergo less weals and tramlines. This doesn't detract from the fun either - which is called a win win!

A paddle, no matter how broad and flat, will leave substantial marking if used with any "enthusiasm". There isn't a way *not* to leave marks unless you desist from using any ooomph at all.

I would say leaving a few marks is part of the whole thing.

we have noticed the same with my girl...at first she bruised and marked quite heavily but now a year on, although she may mark, the marks don't last long much to her chagrin.

You can't avoid it if you want to enjoy it, think yourself lucky you don't bruise really easily though. I was caned for a few minutes rather hard once, and the bruises didn't start going down for three months...which is kind of tricky if you have a very nilla life The first rule of Brat Club, we don't talk about Brat Club...

I find the Arnica gel is better than the cream. Bit more expensive but works better.
I have also found that I used to bruise very badly and easily but now, after a heavy session I can have lots of marks and welts but they hardly bruise at all like they used to. It tends to feel sore, as if there is a bruise there but no marking.
I am glad others have mentioned this because I found it really odd when I noticed it was happening. Vanilla sex is like a 99 ice cream... without the flake. |
