I don't like zombie films but this is the best film I've seen in ages. It has a story! A point! It even has a moral.
Zombies, people with guns and tons of ammo, relationships, great photography.
It also has the greatest zombie/helicopter interaction ever portrayed in film.

I like your use of the word 'interaction' there. Made me chuckle. The film is worth seeing for that interaction alone.

I much preferred 28 days later. All the scenes shot in the early morning dawn light gave it a real air of empty desolation, a real eerie quality. Plus the idea that the Zombies actually moved quickly, fuelled by rage was and excellent twist for the time. Cheers, Doug -- "Bother" said Pooh as he realised that Piglet was one of the infected

They appear all over the place but we can't see them. Reminds me of a cult classic if I remember the title correctly, They Live Amongst Us. Or is it called, Them? Unless you wear Polaroids glasses you can see that most people are really aliens. Anyone remember? Today's the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

The film you are thinking of is by John Carpenter, starring Rowdy Roddy Piper and it's called They Live. It has, in my opinion, the finest fight in a film ever.

Thanks for the title correction. And yes it's about one of the most authentic and realistic fight scenes in a film. Although it is a small part of the film which is quite eerie and concerning. Very underrated and a must see film.
