These last few months have been pretty horrendous one way or another and just when I think it's safe to go back in the water something else pops it's ugly head up to bite me on the bum.

I had a really bad spell of depression, worse than I've suffered for some time but managed to pick myself up. Just as I did I got a shock from the bank when I discovered that I'd been the victim of credit card fraud, all sorted now I'm relieved to say. The next day I received an unexpected visit from a most unwanted source thanks to some kind soul which knocked me for six. Major mental and emotional disruption took hold again but thanks to two people who proved what real friendship is all about I managed to get a grip of that situation as best I can for now. Thank you Ron and Amanda you've been my rocks.

Was preparing last week for a break away at the weekend to Estonia with good friends for some light relief and fun. Thursday evening get a call from my neice telling me that my mum has been rushed in to hospital. Friday morning at 6.30am woken by my neice again to tell me mum had died in the night. Sad news but I've not seen or had anything to do with my parents for over 10yrs now so I'm the luckier one of us kids because I've already distanced myself from them. Friday afternoon off to Gatwick to fly off to Estonia for the weekend.

Saturday night when sat at the bar with friends a very drunken man decided that he wanted to get to know me better. I didn't understand a word he said and even if I'd spoken whatever language it was he was using I still wouldn't have understood him as he was just blurbing the words out. He decided to then get aggressive and stomped his arm and fist down on the bar immediately in front of me and started f-ing and blinding at me. The barman total ignored all this in his plain view until I shouted excuse me and pointed to said offender. Barman looked a little put out at being disturbed walked around to this man and lead him out of the pub. Then whilst trying to dodge downpours of rain ended up missing a small step and fell over twisting my right foot badly. No worries I'm brave so I carried on, it hurt a little but I'm used to far worse pain than that. Back at the hotel and my foot was badly swollen so elevated the bottom of the mattress and applied anti inflammatory gel. Sunday the swelling had gone and though it still felt a little sore I could walk on it ok. Monday comes and foot much better, had last few hours shoe shopping then off to airport for return leg.

Plane was delayed for 20mins, got back to Gatwick to see a sea of people going through the final leg of check out. Was met by Ron who'd come to pick us up, got to the car put all the stuff in the boot, including car key which is a sensor key rather than the normal type thing. Opening the drivers door Ron accidentally locked the car, this shouldn't have happened as it won't lock from the outside whilst the key is on the inside. Anyway though it locked it wouldn't unlock so we had to call the AA. Two and half hours later they came out. After a couple of hours messing around he couldn't unlock it so he ran me home to the flat to get the spare. My flat key was in the boot of the car so luckily my neighbour was home and let me in the main entrance and I had to break in to my flat. Grabbed my spare, jumped in AA van and back to Gatwick to car which opened instantly.

So instead of getting home at 6pm as originally planned it was turned 11.30pm.

So now to find out what's happening re funeral. Called my neice and apparently my sister has taken over everything and is not letting anyone know what's happening. So my neice has been calling the hospital, coroner, undertakers etc to find out details.

The postmortem has found she died of natural causes and the funeral is on Monday at 2pm, still not sure whether I'm going or not yet but we have discovered some surprise arrangements. My mum is being cremated, she never wanted that, in fact she dreaded the thought of that. The service is at a church she hated and there is only one hymn and it's not the one she loved. So I predict fireworks once my brothers are informed as we've all always known what she wanted and it wasn't this.

I've been to the docs this morning about my foot and am off for an x-ray in an hours time to see whether I've broken any bones as it's been really painful since I've been home and swelling up pretty badly.

Life at the moment is really making me wonder just what it has lined up to hurl at me next. It's almost more scary when I start to feel good because I know as soon as this happens then something else dodgy is coming my way lol.

A certain young lady on IC has had me bending her ear for weeks now over one thing or another and has kept me smiling throughout.

Other friends on IC have been making every effort to help me where and when needed.

These friends have been loyal and true friends and I thank them for everything they've done and everything they've tried to do. I'm certainly blessed with them on my side.

As to the few who have chosen to attempt to make my life a misery all I can say to them is.......One Day!

Right off to rest my aching foot again :-D

Not many people have faced what you've had to deal with recently. But look you are still the magnificent person we love so much.

Me and the rest of your friends are here if you need us, so whatever we can do to help ... just ask :-D

Never feel that you're alone - we are here for you.

A shame the holiday didn't work out as expected, it could have gone better, OK, but at least you're still the same lovely person we all love. Just wish I was there to nurse your swollen ankle and tell the nasty man in the bar to get lost (in Russian, lol!!).

I am and always will be here for You!

marky :-D

Thank you lovely boy but the holiday was fantastic, had far too much to eat and drink and laughed til I cried. Also discovered that Estonia is the home of all things cute, male, young and long haired and better still in to rock music, I was in 7th heaven ;-)

Just need a magic cure to get all the weight off again that I've put back on :-$
