I've had this written to me quite a few times. I don't know if the male psyche (and I'm sorry to say it is males that have written it, I've never got this sort of thing from girls!) is wired in such a way as to think this might be complimentary.
I suppose if I were to look at it objectively, it would be complimentary as opposed to saying my pictures instilled nausea.
However I fail to see how jerking off on someones' pics is supposedly respectful.
Surely when you do this you are reducing the person to a sexual object of your personal fantasy? It has nothing to do with showing respect for them.
Please enlighten me!

Don't get me wrong I have absolutely no problem being the object of a person's fantasy and what a person does whilst looking at pictures of me isn't something I put much care and thought into. It's kind of sleazy. Sometimes I quite like sleazy.
I just think that dressing it up as a sign of respect is self deluding at best!

Ps.. Hmmm on a second read it feels like I'm whinging. Of course i put up my pics and there's that sort of third party exhibitionism in that sort of thing. I'm just genuinely curious as to why it would be seen as a sign of respect. What about masturbation is respectful?

I catch your drift in that "respect" is probably an ill fitting word under the circumstances. But look a little deeper into the insecurities of the human condition. The bloke has trawled IC and he's caught your pic. It's pushed his buttons and bingo we have glorious ejaculate! Then what? Well 99.9% will probably reach for the tissues, flick on the TV or go and make a cup of tea. This guy in the other hand felt moved to establish some sort of contact and social exchange. We are a severely socially handicapped and fucked up breed in this country (esp. the males) Christ knows why it is bad as it is but it is. I'll bet you a pound to a penny that the wanker who "respectfully" pulled one off to your pics, is simply shy. We have all read and read and read how those sad people who do not make some stab at showing respect in an email are pilloried here on the pages on IC! I was painfully painfully shy as a young man particularly around girls. It wasn't until I was forty that I started to feel more comfortable in my own skin and gain the level of confidence and social skill that let me engage with any degree of competency. I got fucking lucky! Words and women came and found me at the same time! Although I have not had a good wank over your pics (it seems my libido is presently stitched to my heart and I find myself rather tunnel-visioned, it's a nightmare!) there for the grace of God go I with "respectful" wanky memos. I am all owed to a discovery of language and the good fortune to have had the company of truly warm, kind and wonderful people. Violenty you are lucky. Amongst many other positive attributes no doubt, you are physically attractive. Chances are thousands of blokes have tossed saturated Kleenex into the bin over seeing your pics or simply seeing you in person. In your hands is the power to make the few shy wankers that choose their words as best they can, feel better or worse about themselves.
