I wear a kilt to the Brighton Munch. I get bored wearing trousers all the time.

People are very positive to you when you wear a kilt; the best time remains new years eve, then people will look for the answer!

I sometimes wear a sarong mid-day on the beach to stop me burning. The few people that notice give me a positive response, but then I live in Brighton.

Being Scottish and owning 3 kilts (2 of which are plain colour and therefor not really qualified to be kilts) and not needing an excuse to wear one i'm out in one a lot, but i only get any kind of reaction in England or when there's lots of tourists about.

Irish kilts are plain colours. The true test of a kilt is that it does not have a hem at the bottom; the length of a kilt is adjusted by cutting off material were it is attached to the top band.

Traditional Scotish kilts use 8 yards (metres) of pure wool: some kilts made for hotter climates use less.
