As a Domme, I find "have been contacted by" a somewhat passive way of going about things. Personally, when I have sought a BDSM partner, I've always sone the searching myself. Given the clues (profile, realistic attitude in posts etc) it is remarkably easy to weed out the timewasters and fantasists. I've always got to know prospective partners as friends first, even the one who identified as my slave, and as a consequence have never had a no show or anyone waste a minute of my time. In my view, putting up an ad and sitting back and waiting for people to contact you is an open invitation to not only potential partners, but also to every one of those who for very good reasons have found it impossible to find a partner. As for your being overseas, it is less of a barrier than many people think. My current partner was living 3,000 miles away when I got to know him. With the things we're into, distance is the easiest of obstacles to overcome when finding an compatable partner. i think the single male sub is a pretty easy target when it comes to "timewaster" allegations - but to be honest i think as a group it's kinda brought on ourselves...almost every Domme profile i read includes the line "no one-line memo's" - what kind of idiot sends a one line memo?!?! it's that kind of "get your coat love, youve pulled" mentality that gives men in general bad name... i have to admit in over a year of membership i've sent at most 15 memo's - i'd rather send a little description of myself and what i like (vanilla-wise) as opposed to a "witty" one liner that's never gonna get looked at... Genuine timewasting (paradox or what?!) to me is literally saying "i'll be there at 5" and then deleting your profile, or simply not showing up - to me that's inexcusable | ||||

I prefer a mistress from overseas as they are often more genuine and sincere than those I have met in the UK. The majority of them are also better educated and you can hold a conversation with them, as long as you remember your place. |
