Well after people trying to persuade Me for over a year that I really should make the effort and go. I finally got around to it.
Whilst I often see others getting all excited about it even when it isn't their first time. I've never reacted like that to any event. I don't do the 'excited' thing, but also I've never done the nervous thing either. I don't build something up in My expectations, just find out whats really there when I arrive.
Got a lift there with Miss_Rose and her boy (Many thanks!) and despite none of us having been there before we found it without too much of a problem.
A little while spent chatting to folks as they where arriving and I got a call.... "I'm lost!"... Luckily she did spot the club before I'd even worked out HOW someone could get lost in the 50 or so yards between tube station and the coliseum.
It wasn't long before My delightful company for the evening joined Me at the bar. blue_kiti looking radiant as usual.
she did endevour to show Me around a little, hampered by a somewhat wayward sense of direction, but We did find the smoking area and after one circuit of the club at least one of us knew Our way around (Its not THAT big!) *g*
Most of the rest of the evening was spend merrily chatting to acquaintances new and old. A definite first was being told by one enchanting young Lady that I looked younger in person, it may have been blatant flattery but it did make Me chuckle, Thanks Maria.
I was somewhat surprised at just how early many people seemed to leave, it thinned out markedly after about 2:30am. Guess its true that youngsters these days lack the stamina some of us more seasoned folks had (And still evidently have in reserve) 
Whilst, for a couple of reasons I wasn't in the mood to play (Though I'd taken a few things along in case I changed My mind), kiti was showing signs of having 'that itch' toward the end of the evening so I reminded her that she'd made prior arrangements with someone. Whilst she was otherwise occupied I did have chance to chat at slightly greater length with Hobgothlin (who maybe short on stature, but suffers no lack of personality) and a couple of others.
By then, though it still felt reasonably early, it was actually gone 4:30 and the club where wanting rid of everyone. Time indeed to retrieve kiti and head off in search of a Taxi.
It was an enjoyable evening and whilst I can't see Myself attending every month, I will certainly be back (Given I'm now a member I may as well 
)
