Croydon (the Manhattan of south London) is rather off my beat but somebody with a malign sense of humour put the Home office Aliens Office at Lunar House in that teeming metropolis. I had to go there once to help somebody with a UK residency issue. Apart from the staff I think we were the only two white English speakers in a huge and chaotic office. I hope never to have to visit again. | ||
