Sorry if this disappoints some of you, but I'm still here. Life continues to be good, if hectic. I've passed my second year at uni and am not doing enough work towards my dissertation at the moment. I'm preparing for the Festival and still trying to find another job - so not very much to report.
However, two years ago I wrote this. That adventure turned out to be the beginning of a journey that still continues today. It's our second anniversary this weekend.
We still can't get the hang of the long distance thing - but we're working on reducing the distance. The times we get to spend together are precious.
We threw away the rulebook fairly early on - it was too prescriptive for us. Sometimes things are a little too anarchic but only where we've not yet worked out for ourselves what we want the rules to be.
He continues to surprise me (and not just with his name changes on here!) - and I hope I continue to surprise him (in a good way!) in return.
We're going to be together this weekend, and something is going to happen that just the thought of which is making me panic.
It's a couple of days early, but happy anniversary. Here's to the next two years and the realisation of your ambitions. No matter what happens in the future and however many name changes there are ahead, you will always be *my* Mr Darthy and I love you.

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. | ||

Speaking of suffering - bridget's booked us tickets to go see Transformers on Saturday night. As if putting up with me wasn't bad enough, she'll now have to watch me regress to a 10 year old, as I *squee* over big giant robots stomping over LA. That's true love, that is. And I love you, princess. Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. Use my real name. Edited 19 Jul 07, 12:14 AM by The_Joker |
