Crying and BDSM (topic from bondage.com forums)

On www.bondage.com, we are discussing crying in BDSM. Do subs need it? Do Doms like it? Why do we react in the matter that we do? The thread is located on b.com under All Forums ^ BDSM Talk and Support ^ BDSM Technique ^ Crying. I am cross-posting my thoughts as it is something I wanted to share that may help others involved in the scene.

----------------

Growing up in an emotionally abusive household meant I was not allowed to cry i.e. “If you cry about that, I'll give you something to cry about!” Consequently, I learned to control my tears. After age 9 and until I became involved in BDSM, the only times anyone saw me cry was when I broke my arm or was dumped by my first boyfriend. Being beaten until I cry is not just cathartic for me. The crying heals something in me that should never have been broken. The pain is helping me embrace a whole range of emotions that I previously denied.

As I embrace my submission, I reclaim my humanity.

Regards,

bunny
