My slave always wears his collar when he's with me (with the exception of work-related situations). I haven't really felt the need to use the leash yet, but then again, I haven't taken him out for a walk very often... I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use it. I live in a fairly big city where you see all sorts and I very much doubt anyone would bat an eyelid. It really just depends on what mood I'm in. As far as it 'involving' the public goes, actually using a collar and leash seems fine to me - it's really an issue of what they're wearing, rather than behaviour; I hope I'd always be aware of the impact of my/our behaviour on the public and not infringe anybody else's rights. In a way maybe it's comparable to someone with an absolutely vast number of facial piercings or some other visual aspect - it's visible, it's making a 'statement', but if people don't like to see it, hard luck. Possibly the bigger question is - having taken your sub out to Tescos on a collar and lead, do you take them in and parade them round the vanilla ice-cream section, or would you tie their lead to the railings while you do your shopping? | |

i have no idea what you mean, i was just an innocent bystander, standing next to this railing,,, eerm quite close to this railing,, in fact to the casual bystander, i was leaning on it admiring the sea at night. Just how i became attached to the afore said rail,,,,,,,,,,, is a bit of a mystery,

I was all set to do this with a sub one year at the London Fetish Fair. I was going to have her in a thong and high heels and nothing else and parade her around the fair on a leash while I browsed the stalls, maybe trying out a few floggers on her from time to time. But she got a bad cold just beforehand and we didn't go in the end. Not exactly the same as your local pub, I know but still would have been fun. i wear my 'everyday' collar (ie the chain my Master gave me) 24/7 but when i am awake i also wear the black leather collar He gave me when i was collared. I wear it to go to B&Q (was there yesterday looking at chain!!) or to the pub or to my local spar shop on the corner... i dont wear a leash, though if my Master asked me to i would and i dont see it as pushing my lifestyle on others. It's what i am, i'm not ashamed of it, why should i hide it as if it were some dirty secret? As far as i can see the sooner we get the 'vanilla' world to understand that BDSM is about so much more than the bedroom then we will all be better off. Maybe its just me, but i am completely open about my lifestyle choices, everyone i care about (including my teenage kids) knows about it and their general consensus is 'if it makes you happy - go for it'. Their friends have asked all kinds of questions and they are usually surprised that it is a whole culture of its own rather than just kinky sex (not that there's anything wrong with kinky sex!! lol) Anyway - in short, i almost do this all the time and would do it whenever wherever if my Master required it of me :o) luv sweetie |
