Interesting replies & thanks for the encouraging PMs. My OP was really just a personal reflection, based on personal preference & experience, no offence or judgement intended.

I did actually say 'ALMOST like a hobby' a hobby being something you are passionate about but don't necessarily want to do full time.

As always it's 'different strokes for different folks' some guys just want to have the living daylights beaten out of them, which is fair dinkum, others like to feel they are a bit special and maybe instrumental in providing enjoyment/satisfaction to the woman they are serving.

To me that's the great thing about BDSM, finding your niches & then like minded people to enjoy it with.

I agree - this was certainly something that was an issue when I started sessioning all those many years ago (sad old git time)

But it's my experience that it doesn't happen so much these days - many pro dommes purposely limit how many subs they see in a day Maybe you need to research a bit further?

Being a Domme came first along time ago - becoming a Pro Dom was a choice I made so I could live my fantasies full time day to day. I often have to see more than one submissive a day as my main inerest is forced bi! I do agree however that there is an 'element' of formulaic 1 hour, next please Mistresses around but then I have also seen many offering very intimate pictures and serices (pics on other sites obviously) I think we are dealing in some cases with the sauna world and BDSM is just an extra.

Having exchanged PMs with a few Mistress on IC I have really been encouraged by how many do it almost as a hobby because they 'enjoy it' this is a real buzz for me but I suppose we are all different aren't we?

I refuse to be part of the 'production line' approach, I will see a maximum of 2 clients per day. If I have already allocated those spaces when another session is requested an alternative date is offered. By working this way I can offer a much more indepth, unrushed session as well as spend time with my loved ones. The benefit to the client is that they are also free to arrive early to dress before without fear of bumping into anyone on the way out.

Not alot of lifestyle Dommes do this 24/7 myself included. It is not a hobby for me but it is not my whole life either.

Wii's are like buses you wait months for one and then two come along.

The conception of a production line business is a thing of the past. I have not met another client on the stairs in the last 20 years. Since appointments are now arranged by computer it's all very nicely done and often Mistress and client may go out to lunch afterwards. It'[s a different world nowadays, thankfully.

The truth will out

I thought roger was referring to pro Dommes in the whole of his post - I may be wrong. Commenting on the fact that there are many pros on this site who are also lifestyle (like me) and only take on one professional session each day because we "enjoy" it. Is that what you were referring to roger?

Same more or less for me, I live the lifestyle day to day but I do take a small number of clients as well not as a hobby, but because I find the interplay of a prodomme and sub client extremely interesting AND I only take a client if I find they themselves to be intersting. but also as a way to contribute ina substantial financial way to my Mistresses house.

But as a hobby? Never, I take being a domme, professionally or lifestyle very seriously.

(whats with all the pro bashing anyway? I mean fuck if we weren't needed I wouldn't be turning down a dozen clients a week because I don't have any client slots left)

Would these be the one's that you keep going into town to meet and who never show up? You really shouldn't do this B/S you I and some others know full well this is all simply fantasy like most of your life and you have no clients........

Ummm cant think of anything witty, outrageous, interesting, stimulating, intellectual or even sexual to say so I best just give up trying innit!!!

Are you referring to Miss Becca or to me Captain Hook - it would be advisable to quantify your post!
