Over the last couple of months I've been reading quite a few weblogs about broken hearts, disloyalty commitment etc.
Although to most people who have had their hearts broken I have much sympathy ( though not ALL, as a minority of people fully deserve it ) much of the time I'm thinking 'come on for Gods sake….come on, get real.'. A Dominant and his/her sub, is a potent mix, and it's part of what makes it so fulfilling, but I wonder what it is that makes many sub's or slaves of both genders think that their relationships are anymore likely to stand the test of time than a Vanilla relationship. Yes it can be so much more intense than your everyday girl/boy, man/woman type of thing, ( on second thought the mix of gender dosen't matter )but the down side can be a case of 'the light that burns twice as brightly, burns half as long' When any of us (me included!) just sort of stumble into this kind of partnership, the adrenalin rush can be so intense and long lasting that we can maybe forget about the realities of life. The key word being partnership. Are you really a seven day a week slave? Do you really want someone deciding where and when and for what you presence is required? Don't get me wrong….in rare cases I suppose that it's possible, but a lot subs and their Dom/Dommes it's just another part of their lives, albeit an exciting part, perhaps a large part, but rarely is it ALL.
Am I speaking crap, or do I have any experiences to draw on? Whilst I've never been an active member of the 'Scene' so to speak, I've had my moments, and all the early moments were as a submissive; I have no regrets and I learned a great deal of useful stuff. Personally I wouldn't want a female to be so clinging, and to have such low self-esteem, and to be so dependent that I find it suffocating. Maybe it's me….wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong, but I consider myself to be a fairly normal bloke and I've no problem with casual relationships/sex; I wouldn't turn me nose up at it ( pun intended) but what I seek in the long run is a long-term partner. Will I ever find that elusive partner who will be my 'dream submissive?' a woman whom I really get on well with, but who is willing…,no, EAGER eventually to 'play' in a way that would make Sodem & Gomorough look like Butlins? We'll see…..it definitely won't be through lack of trying.
To all of you…mainly subs I suppose….who've just had your hearts broken, take a look around you; there's never been a better time to find that decent partner you've always been searching for. When I was in my late teens/early twenties there really wasn't much you could do about your 'urges' except pray! Now you've got the Net and sites like this, and Munches, and all manner of weird and wonderful clubs and societies/groups to cater for any kink/perversion you can think of, and probably a few that you haven't! You've really no excuse for becoming an internally bitter, shrivelled-up wannabe. I reckon you've got a good deal! All you've got to do is put yourselves in the correct environment, and being the predators that we are, we'll come to you!
So come on…drop the barriers, throw open the gate and let the beast loose! Shit…I realise just how corny that sounds.
