After making my last log entry, which relates to an episode in my life that I suppose I can now see the funny side of, I was pleasantly surprised to discover it had been read by close to 100 members in under 24 hours!
Obviously I've no way of knowing if that's the norm, but it beats the previous total by around 30. Maybe I'm just going off at the deep end, but I've this sneaky feeling that there's a small group of readers avidly following the entries. If so I'm pleased, although that's not the reason I joined IC, BUT if you're enjoying reading them, then I'll certainly enjoy writing them. I'd love to be able to write something more about the “here and now”, but something's actually got to happen before I can do that! Besides, although my sex-life may have been a triffle on the spicey side compared to the average (what's average?) vanilla, it's not exactly been The Adventures of Don Juan, and I'd hate it if people thought that's the impression that I'm trying to give. On the contrary,.. it's been quite a while since I “dipped my bucket in the Well”. I mean, I'm going cross-eyed, I've developed a stoop, started speaking with a lisp….got the picture?
I'm currently chatting to a couple of Ladies…one of whom isn't quite sure what her orientation is, and the other is I believe definitely on the submissive side… I'll just have to wait to see how that develops. I'll try not to sound too negative as she'll give me another telling off!
Now, to all of the female gender who are single and who've been reading my log, have you forgotten why you joined IC? I assumed for the same reason as me; To find that elusive partner that you've been looking for. If you're seeking that “perfect one”….forget it. That person is going to be extremely difficult to find… maybe impossible, but this is undoubtedly about the best place to turn the desire into a reality. Have you even sent anyone a memo? If not why not? I know that you're dreading meeting some kind of psycho who's “going to put your lights out”, no matter how unlikely that is. But what harm can sending a couple of e-mails do? If you don't like what you're hearing or the person in question isn't willing to give ground on anything, I believe you can block that persons mail, or just ignore it. Take a chance, dip your toe in the water, suck-it-and-see…maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised!! Lecture over
