This morning I had the task of having to attend This
I will admit, I was not looking forward to a bunch of mindless kite spotters talking about the breaking strength of there twine.
However, I had a bloody blinding day, and the things they can do with them there kites is magical, well OK not magical but bloody well practised!
So here are three of what I saw today in picture format, but I will say this, they do them no justice!
arty close up
man in park gets attacked by sea monster
Flying gimp
The man who was flying the gimp kite was actually holding a spool of twine with a triskilian motif on it.
if you would like to see some of the others I took, then feel free to have a gander
But I will say this in closing, they are doing the whole thing again in Bristol, details can be found here its a day out and you will be surprised at what they can do.
A very sunburnt Damien xx

Oooh thanks for the pics - they look fabulous. I must admit to being quite jealous when I spied you were going to a kite thing this morning - some of them are so beautiful.
"They do say, Mrs M., that verbal insults hurt more than physical pain. They are of course wrong, as you will soon discover...when I stick this toasting fork in your head."

Your welcome, I will over the course of the next week be putting them all up on my site, but I must say the things they could do were amazing, the thing that was lacking was wind, but they seemed to manage
There was one lad, that was spectacular, I wont put a link to his site from here but if you want it, I will gladly give it in memo http://www.flickr.com/photos/thee_forsaken1/5265...
I watched him lower kites on to poles and he even placed one in between the commentators mouth and microphone.
