What do all three have in common? I have them all today!!
Yes, I seem to be afflicted with the man-flu which snuck up on me during the night whilst my back was turned. And yes, it is possible for a woman to contract the man-flu, gentlemen; we generally just get on with things and refrain from whinging about it.
We are also having a deluge of biblic proportions today here in Nuernberg, where I am this weekend in order to see Muse, who are playing at Rock Im Park, and to celebrate my birthday, which is tomorrow.
So, in the true spirit of rock and roll, or the true spirit of idiocy (will have to come back to this one later on to make a clear determination, my companions and I, two of us suffering from man-flu, though we are both female, will brave the unwashed multitudes (who are, hopefully, a bit cleaner, thanks to the monsoon), will withstand the monsoon, will endeavor not to sink into the mud that the monsoon has caused the outdoor venue to become, and will enjoy, dammit, I said enjoy, the offerings of the bards from Devonshire.
Excelsior!!

I am not sure if it is possible for women to get man-flu. I have an unproven theory that as bird flu can mutate to be passed on to humans, so can ordinary flu mutate when passed to men. As I have exprienced myself.
Perhaps the version you have got has mutated further, into to "really bad woman flu". I must rethink my theory. (P.s when I say "really bad" I meant the flu, not you!) Hope you have a great time seeing Muse, and happy birthday.

They gave an even more incredible live perfermance than I expected them to and that is saying something. Interestingly enough, they opened a song that contains what I feel to be a very apropos sentiment, given that I mark the passing of another year of my life tomorrow, as well as being something that I endeavor to keep in mind, always: Don't waste your time or Time will waste you.
I am so very glad that I chose not to waste my time being ill and just went and made the best of it. We had a blast and even the rain stopped while we were outside. Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin

Perhaps you are correct and what I actually have is Domme flu, which is far, far worse indeed than man-flu. Thank you for your good wishes; they are much appreciated. MA xx Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin Edited 2 Jun 07, 11:55 PM by MsArachne

Indeed he did and we stayed for Linkin Park (who I actually like, thank you very much) and they were awesome, as well, though not as good as Muse was. Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin

It seems what you heard was all true. They played a nice cross section of their older and newer stuff, never missed a bit or a note, started out high energy and finished the same way, and really gave it all they had. Definitely worth going to see. Hugs, MA xx Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage. ~Anais Nin
