The Best of Times... The Worst of Times (23)

This is a personal ramble... just felt it might help to throw some words at a page. Please move along if you have no interest ;)

Well, it's "the best of times" in that..

i am moving to J's a week tomorrow :-D

and 'cos my Mum had a long awaited and much overdue hip replacement on Tuesday and is doing brilliantly well :-D she is in way less pain now and looks loads better than before she had the op.

and i managed to get to the new/improved BBB last weekend and enjoyed spending time with friends and meeting some new faces. One in particular. Yes you... get on with that decorating ;) i also purchased a lovely house/subbie warming pressie for J :-p (hope He doesn't read this 'cos it's supposed to be a surprise lol)

And it's "the worst of times" in that..

i can't actually go straight to J's next Sat :( my belongings will go, but i will be going to Mum's to take care of her for a few weeks. Still, J and i have waited 4 yrs to be together, so a couple more weeks won't make much difference.

and, a couple of weeks ago, J had a nasty car smash :( (not His fault) He wasn't badly hurt, thank God, but is suffering some after effects (whiplash etc). But the insurance company have been great and very efficient in getting everything sorted out.

and His job situation is pretty bad and causing a big quandry. Stay? Go? Take new job with bad commute or not? Etc.

and a close family member is undergoing tests for suspected return of cancer :( the waiting for test results is awful.

and my hormones & bad back have decided to go totally haywire. Oh how i love living on painkillers.. NOT!

The stress is definitely getting the better of me at the moment, and i'm finding it hard to drag myself around and get anything done. Then i feel guilty for getting nothing done.

But J will be here from tonight for the weekend :-D (haven't seen Him for a fortnight) and some extremely large hugs, not to mention other things, are very overdue. ;)

It feels like the rollercoaster we know as life is throwing an awful lot at us at the moment, but i know we will get through it. J is an absolute rock; it scares me how dependent on Him i am.

Finally i'd just like to say thanks to friends here for their concern and support, for the prayers, texts, calls, memos and visits. They and you are much appreciated :*

Have a good weekend folks.

Good luck and do take care. And listen to Dickens more! He knew what he was on about

Thanks for your kind words icespice :)

Must admit to never reading a Tale of Two Titties, but it is a superb opening paragraph, one of the best in literature.

Hang on in there hon

Life is full of up's and down's, obstacles and pitfalls, but hang on tight to each other and you'll do just fine.
