Strange feeling...
I have spent most of this weekend clearing Father's wardrobes of clothing and bagging it up to be taken to a charity shop or two.
It was an emotional thing to do, but the worst was the coats and jackets. I found it rather spooky going through his pockets, especially the inside pockets of the jackets. I was expecting some strange feelings, as I had when I looked through his wallet when he died, but it was much worse that I expected and took me ages.
Four bags of mens clothes, and nine of his girlie stuff, he had some super evening dresses, and a beautiful lemon yellow brocade silk trouser suit still in it's original cover.
It's a bloody shame I grew up looking like my Mother, so nothing will fit me
Hugs, to all.
Irene.

It's obvious that you and your father shared a wonderful bond. You have his sparking, expressive eyes. Must have been really difficult sifting through his belongings.I'd have been in peices. Wishing you peace. The only problem with being swept off your feet, is ending up on your arse. Edited 21 May 07, 7:51 AM by Demonatrixx | ||
