I've chosen pro_Domming, allied with life coaching practice specialising in fetish, over a professional mainstream career and have absolutely no regrets. Not only is it a lot more fun, I do believe it achieves more at the end of the day. Making someone happy, or alleviating frustration or working through personal issues is always a worthwhile aim, from whatever standpoint. Compared with a professional career the pay is actually a lot lower, a nice headline figure, sure, but a lot of work involved and a lot of stress as well, from the number of out and out time wasters that have to be dealt with. Don't look at the hourly charge out rate and think, oh goody!!! Think, for every hour charged, there are going to be ten hours advertising, site building, surfing, contacting potentials, answering messages and maintaining professional status. That's before paying for accommodation to work from, clothing, toys, travel, tax, advertising. I guess this is why there is a high churn rate of would be pro's, with little experience, who have seen the hourly rate, see the activity and not understand what lies behind, jump in with both feet and depart sadder and wiser a few months later.
