When it is made from willow!! My domme recently, kindly purchased a couple of 'birches' for me and i was not looking forward to being on the receiving end of them.Unfortunately we were both a tad dissapointed in them.
Anyone got any views on the said'willows'? I'm so glad that this has taken me so long,

A bit twiggy, a bit messy, a bit bloody, but I'm cutting fresh birch this weekend. Ahhh the pleasures of botany..

Whenever I look at the local birch trees with a pervy eye, the end growth seems too branched, irregular and twiggy to make a satisfactory implement & I can't decide whether they are just not very suitable specimens or my perception of what makes suitable material is wrong. Any chance you could put up a couple of pictures of your raw material & finished product? Something contemporary would be so much more use than Victorian woodcut illustrations & the like! Tx I'll never regret this, ...although I may rue and lament it

Don't worry about all that, just pick up a hand full of long birch twigs (or make sub do this bit), adjust to length and beat sub with them, its as simple as that. It dose not matter if the birch twigs are not uniform, this is a natural product.
Chewing on my latex!! |
