We both set off with empty pockets, not an extra losable item was carried.

What a way to end a weekend. A live gig, I wasn't sure what to expect from this one but a mosh pit of balding forty/fifty year old, crowd surfing Gordie one time punks wasn't it! I probably hadn't thought very hard on what to expect.

Excellent tunes played load and hard bought back k's youth, half the the fun of the evening was quietly watching her. SLF played new and old tracks expertly and finished with a version of Phil Lynott's classic “The boys are back in town.”

The one dint in the evenings fun, not to big but irksome all the same, k had bought seated tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So although we had a good view, no mosh pit for me

If it was St Patricks Day Im guessing it was the Barras as they always play there. Sounds good!

To my credit (yes i have a simdgeon left), i booked the tickets online for the Carling Academy in newcastle online. Wasnt given any option on sitting/standing, and assumed it would all be standing. So when the tickets arrived marked "Unreserved seating", i laughed it off gleefully, knowing there was no way on this planet anyone would ever be standing at an SLF gig.
How wrong was i.........
We arrived. Headed for the dancefloor, and were barred from getting in, and politely directed upstairs. Upstairs??? I was wondering how we would fling oirselves around madly upstairs. Answer? We couldnt
We were sat in the front row of the balcony, squashed between Mr Bean on one side, and a bunch of 9 year old on the other. I stood up to bounce around at one point, and immediately a spotlight was shined upon my head, ordering me to sit down *sigh*
Still, it's amazing how sweaty and excited you can get, jigging up and and down in a seat......

I guess that's where they will be tonight then! And i bet no fucker is standing!!!!
