Houses at 4am (5)

What you find out about your house when sleep eludes you!

You do have spiders, they just hide during the day.

The clocks are actually very loud when they tick.

Your ninety two year old neighbour snores.

Your cats sleep on your handbag when they think you arent looking.

Snow on the ground looks magical at 4am.

Huge kisses and hugs for precious people who are sleeping as I type. xxxxxxxxxx

So no hugs or kisses for me then.

Anyway, I solved the ticking clock problem by making sure I didn't buy any clocks that tick. They would annoy the hell out of me if I could hear them while trying to sleep or do anything else.

And be glad that your neighbour just snores. I used to have some that argued or did their gardening in the middle of the night.

So glad I'm not the only one with the ticking clock problem (I nearly typed "tickling" - now that would've been a serious problem). The number of places I've stayed that have ticking clocks! And the times I've found myself - in the middle of the night - balancing on chairs, tables and couches trying to get the clock down so I can remove the battery, stop the clock, smash it, or whatever, just to get some sleep ...

lol

Ahh but modern clocks don't tick tock they only tick, or more precisely they go scrunch (grinding of cheap plastic gears), scrunch....... scrunch. A proper tick tock is very sleepy making.

No No No No No! Not at all. A proper tick tock, let me tell you, can be the loudest noise in the universe!

Edited to add: Sorry Wenchy, the clocks have completely hijacked your thread :(
