Here we all are, trying to improve relations within the world we live. some working damned hard because of the way in which we are portrayed and they do this for free, so what do we do?

Well one of us was outed, yes in a not nice way, if there is one at all, she and her family will have fingers pointed at them, its shite! and the fucker that did it needs stringing up but...................

There are people on here that don't get on; and people with different views, I always thought that was what made us who we are, the fact that we all have normal lives and enjoy our lifestyle choices to the full.

Its obvious that the media is watching and probably have been for quite some time before this incident and what do we do...........act like children!

So there are views that are negative, the good however out way the bad but that's not good enough is it? I've read over the last few days accusations and insults, not! I must add at those that just have different views but also at those that have not written down what they wrote in a positive or transparent way and then have had to explain their writings in more detail because of mob accusations.

I feel for velvet as most of us do and I applaud the way she has mostly dealt with it but sad to say, she is not the first and will undoubtedly not be the last to be outed.

witch hunts are a bad thing, I understand that there are some more pissed off with it but shrieking vengeance at everyone with a different view is mindless and just fuels the fires.

The press are probably loving this and are keeping notes for the next headline..........so not putting us all in a good light is it?

Just my view on the situation and yes before you respond I know I'm a cunt ((grins))

Well I like fuelling the fire, it makes burning the shitebag so much more enjoyable.

Have to agree. The problem with putting a group of people together though is that you get the same mix of people you get in the real world....and some of them are not nice.

As much as I love you hon, you also have to agree that you (and I)havent been backwards at mud slinging in the past. Its just that when we feel strongly about something we see the justification for it, its always easier to see others faults rather than our own.

I know that I have been involved in my share of mud slinging here and I felt very justified at the time. In fact I still do, and thats despite being asked to stop by some very worthy members.

As you said...velvet isnt the first and she wont be the last, its a shame that some people found this to be the ideal time to show their real sanctimonious patronising malevolent selves, rather than the face they usually hide behind.

You know, you've put this so well, much better than any cack-handed (fingered) attempts by me!

We are a diverse group, and people are people, some will get on, some wont (and dont). And i would normally defend anyone's right to express a view, even if i dont neccesarily agree with it, which was what i was trying to say. But then sometimes, maybe some thoughts are best left unsaid, particularly when it is obvious that someone's feelings will be very hurt. What purpose does it serve? other than to inflame an already difficult situation?

The result is what we've seen, sides being taken, mud-slinging, unwarranted accustations, nastiness, and name-calling which is not doing any of the original parties any good, nor us as a whole "community".

So for me, i hope that we can all put this behind us and leave things to heal, and that V can be allowed some peace to get on with her life. Bring back normality!

I agree. Makes me wonder if we need to set out some informal "rules" like you have in training.

E.g. challenge the idea not the person, have respect for other people etc etc

Doesnt exactly make us look good when the boards are full of petty arguments

But some people should think before they post a blog or hit the reply button, if they know full well it is going to stir things up and cause a stink.

Maybe they should refrain from posting in the first place in some instances when the above is likely to happen and they know full well it will.

Sometimes you think that adding the reply button to blogs wasn't the best thing to do. Times its best to hide the reply button to blogs. But then you would only have another barrage of blogs to read.

Yes people are entitled to their different opinions because if we all thought and did the same things we wouldn't be human we would be robots.

But if people anger us then we are going to retaliate unfortunatly it's a fact of life, no matter who and where you are. It's simply self preservation or justification in putting their points of view across.

When you get a group of people together, you are always going to get conflicts of interest and bitching and back stabbing, no matter what. It's a sad fact of life. It happens in all communities, workplaces etc,

sometimes you should take time out before you blog or take a cause of action especially if is going to cause harm to others.

Everyone has the right to their own opinion, some of us choose not to voice ours, maybe we are cowards as voicing your own opinion can lead to witch hunts. Outing is bad in any form but in return we have to take responsibility for the fact that we post publicly about our lives and maybe found by the press, family or friends. By procaliming what we desire we out our selves....
