Intrepid Needles the adventurer has now been gone for four hours. Have scoured the main road, wildground at the back with a torch and a can of tuna. Its pitch black and I cant hear meowing or see a fucking thing. His brother is going frantic.
At which point do I start to panic? Cats are cats after all.

yeah, don't panic, cats often go on a journey - my fenris vanished for 2 weeks, we thought we'd lost her, when she suddenly turned up as if nothing ever happened. ------------------------------------------- This is the Island of Zombie Women

My cat went away for three weeks and came back about 15 minutes after my mum called me to say that the cat was on the roof story. Laugh? ~ I thought that I would never start!

the cat is more likely on an adventure 4 hours is not long. my cat goes missing 48 hours at a time have learnt not to panic for 12 hours, she went out at 12 today and popped back at 5 for food and has gone out again, I'll go up to the forest at 10 to call her. leave something smelly of yours out like dirty washing or the contents of you Hoover on the lawn, will help kitty find the scent. www.mai-inspirations.co.uk for all your aromatherapy and skin care products contact me for Mothers day/easter gift baskets

don't panic. the cat has gone adventuring into the night. mine often disappear for days on end. the first time its horrid, but they come back. although what of my cats is a bit 'special' and i do worry if he's gone for more than 2minutes! they always come home when they're hungry, you'll hear the miaowing outside your window at some ridiculous hour and be made to get up and let your owner in.

Echoing the 'don't panic' though i expect that's not going to stop you. My mog NEVER strays. Always comes running indoors of an evening. Except that one time.....bloody brat stayed out for two days and worried us all sick. Somehow it's worse when they don't usually stray but there are good odds that your pal will come back safe and sound. I'm about as submissive as dracula on speed....
